This 3-hour course covers the policies, regulations, and best practices for a Notary Public in the state of Iowa.

Topics covered in the course include:

• Detailed instructions on the process to become a Notary in Iowa
• The five-step notarization process
• Performing notarial acts remotely
• The different kinds of notarial acts you will be commissioned to perform
• The responsibilities you have as a Notary, and examples of Notary misconduct.

Exam info

The exam must be finished in one sitting. You cannot save and finish later.

• You have to answer 30 questions.
• You must receive a score of 80% or higher.
• You may attempt the exam an unlimited number of times.
• Once you complete the exam, you may review which questions you answered correctly and which you answered incorrectly.
• Once you pass the exam you will receive a certificate of completion certificate for both the course and exam.
